Why we closed our Bakery and what is next

Evolving Directions: A Pause on Our Bakery to Embrace New Beginnings

Change is a constant in life, and in the world of business, adaptability is key to growth and success. Today, we're excited to share a significant decision we've made in the journey of Trove – our beloved bakery that has been our passion and endeavor since our first product launched in December 2020. While this decision might come as a surprise, we believe it's a step towards embracing new opportunities and making room for growth.

Our Humble Beginnings

Our journey with Trove started with a simple yet delicious dessert box in December 2020. The response from our community was overwhelming, and it was heartwarming to see how our creations brought joy to so many. From there, we embarked on a journey that led us through three different commercial kitchens. With each move, we outgrew our space, driven by our dedication to crafting exceptional treats.

The Challenge of Expansion

As we pushed for growth, we encountered challenges that made us reassess our path. We dreamed of having our own commercial space to nurture Trove's bakery arm, but despite our efforts and offers, those doors remained closed. This led us to a crossroads where we had to make a tough decision – and that decision was to hit pause on the bakery side of our business.

Balancing Priorities

Running a bakery demanded our time, energy, and attention. We strived to maintain the quality that our customers came to expect, which meant making personal sacrifices and pushing the boundaries of our capacity. It became increasingly difficult to strike a balance between our business and other essential aspects of our lives. For instance, Karli's role as a new mom required a lot of time and energy, and the demands of the bakery often overshadowed these precious moments.

The Road Ahead

While hitting pause on our bakery might seem like a step back, we firmly believe it's a strategic move towards embracing the future. We recognize that there are different paths to success, and our bakery venture doesn't align with our current life stages. This decision feels like a "not right now" rather than a permanent closure. As we explore other avenues, we're excited to focus on content creation and nurturing the e-commerce side of our website.

Sharing Our Journey

Our experiences and learnings are valuable not only to us but to aspiring entrepreneurs, bakers, and dreamers everywhere. We're excited to channel our energy into sharing these insights with a new audience. Through blogs, videos, and social media, we'll offer a glimpse behind the scenes, share our trials and triumphs, and provide guidance for those who seek to tread a similar path.

Your Voice Matters

We've always cherished the support and engagement of our community, and we value your opinions now more than ever. We want to hear from you – our loyal customers and friends. What would you like to see from Trove moving forward? Your feedback helps shape our journey and focus our direction over the coming months.

As we embrace this new chapter at Trove, we're filled with excitement, determination, and gratitude. We're grateful for the support that has brought us this far and look forward to the adventures that lie ahead. Thank you for being a part of our journey – the best is yet to come.
